This marvelous botanical prints by Georg Wolfgang Knorr comes from his work entitled
"Thesaurus Re Herbariae Hortensisque Universalis".
This work was published in Nuremberg between the years 1750 and 1772. This prints were an
hand-colored, copper-plate engraving printed on fine, chain-linked, laid, watermarked paper. Described by Nissen as "the most beautiful of all the German works," it may be compared to other large botanical works of the time such as "Weinmann's Phytanthoza".
